CC Prints (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your creative assets. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and applicable privacy laws.

This policy applies to our website (ccprintsco.com), our Client Portal, and our print services.

1. What Personal Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide high-quality print services and a seamless digital experience. This includes:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address.
  • Creative Assets: Digital files (PDFs, images, design files) uploaded via our Client Portal or Public Contact forms.
  • Transaction Data: Order history and billing details (processed securely via Square; we do not store full credit card numbers).
  • Usage Data: Information on how you interact with our website (via Google Analytics) and authentication logs.

2. How We Collect Information

Personal information and assets may be collected when you:

  • Visit our website and interact with our content.
  • Upload files via our public /contact form or secure Client Portal.
  • Authenticate using our Magic Link system.
  • Place an order for print services.
  • Communicate with us via email or support requests.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Fulfillment: To process orders, print your designs, and ship products.
  • Asset Management: To associate uploaded images with your profile for future re-ordering (see Data Retention below).
  • Authentication: To verify your identity securely without passwords.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze website traffic and optimize our print workflows.
  • Communication: To send order updates, invoices, and Magic Link login emails.

4. Specific Technologies & Security

We utilize a modern, secure technology stack to protect your data:

We do not store passwords. Instead, we use Magic Links (delivered via Resend) for your Client Portal.

  • When you log in, a unique, one-time-use secure token is sent to your email.
  • This ensures that even if our database were compromised, there are no passwords for attackers to steal.

Secure Payments (Square)

All payments are processed by Square.

  • CC Prints never sees or stores your full credit card information.
  • Payment data is encrypted and handled entirely within Square’s PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics and first-party cookies to:

  • Maintain your secure session while logged in.
  • Analyze aggregate website traffic to understand which products are most popular.
  • You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may prevent you from logging into the Client Portal.

5. Data Retention: Your Assets & The "Print Archive"

Unlike standard file transfer services that delete files after 7–30 days, CC Prints retains your uploaded print files and project assets indefinitely by default.

  • The Benefit: This "Print Archive" allows us to guarantee color consistency for re-prints and allows you to re-order past projects years later without needing to find and re-upload large files.
  • Your Control: We hold these files as a custodian for your convenience. If you wish to have your digital assets permanently deleted from our servers, simply contact us, and we will remove them immediately.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted third-party infrastructure providers necessary to run our service:

  • Cloudflare: For secure website hosting, database storage (D1), and file storage (R2).
  • Resend: To deliver transactional emails and authentication Magic Links.
  • Square: To process payments.
  • Google Analytics: For anonymized traffic analysis.

7. Data Storage & Sovereignty

Your personal information and creative assets are stored using Cloudflare’s global network. While we prioritize Canadian data centers where possible, data may be processed in other jurisdictions (such as the United States) where our service providers operate, and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information and assets we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request corrections to your contact details.
  • Deletion: Request the permanent removal of your account and stored creative assets.
  • Withdraw Consent: Unsubscribe from non-transactional communications.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
